Studio Brunel is a student-led theatre company at Brunel University London. We produce various productions, projects, and events throughout each academic year.
The company is designed to provide creative students with opportunities, giving valuable experience to all, whether it be those pursuing the arts professionally or just with an extracurricular passion.
Our Aim
From the very beginning, Studio Brunel has been about giving creative students opportunities beyond their course. We maintain a balance between professional and fun to allow students to gain experience in a variety of areas while challenging them to achieve their best.
Your university experience is what you make of it; with Studio Brunel, you can make your university experience into industry experience among a supportive network of other students just as passionate as you.
Our History
Studio Brunel was founded in 2018 by a group of theatre students, keen to perform more outside of the course. It quickly became apparent that the company could be so much bigger than that and offer opportunities to all creative students at Brunel.
With operational and financial support from the university and members of staff, the company went from three people in a university hall's kitchen to ten students around a meeting table to a community of talented, hardworking, and passionate creatives.
Thank you to everyone involved in Studio Brunel for all your dedication, energy, and support. The company would not be the same without all those who dared to make it possible.

When I accepted my place at Brunel University London to study Theatre, I was eager to be involved with as many extra-curricular and creative opportunities as were available to me at Brunel. I never would have thought that this hunger to produce and nurture new and exciting work would have led to something as integral to the past two years of my life as Studio Brunel.
I am incredibly proud to have spearheaded this venture alongside some of the most talented and generous individuals that anyone could have the pleasure of working with. They are all, I am sure, destined for incredible things once they have flown the Brunelian nest.
Studio Brunel was not only created in the pursuit of fantastic theatrical opportunities but to bring like-minded people together; as this budding community grows, I am delighted to have played my part in its creation and I am incredibly excited to see what happens next.

Our Committee
The Studio Brunel Committee is responsible for the operation of the company. Lead by the Artistic Director & Producer, the committee takes on the tasks of running, organising, marketing and producing so that each production, project, and event can be the best it can be.
Whether it's producing the shows, to designing the posters, to all the admin work that goes on behind the scenes, the committee have it covered.
